Both blade and Koshirae mountings are attested their authenticity by NBTHK, the most prestigious non-profit sword organization in Japan, in separate certificate. Two original certificates come with.
Japanese antique sword of more than 360 years old in excellent condition.

Tsuba guard and Fuchi collar and Kashira cap are signed.
Habaki collar is nicely designed.

Features:

Mei signature on blade: Mumei, i.e. no signature, however, NBTHK attests that this sword was smithed by Fuyuhiro (冬廣). Fuyuhiro was one of swordsmiths representing Shinto Period (1596-1763) and is very popular among Japanese collectors.
Mei signature on Fuchi collar: 奈良直壽造 (made by Nara Naohisa)
Mei signature on Tsuba guard: 光珍齋 (Kochinsai)
NBTHK certificate for blade: Status is Kicho (貴重, i.e. Precious). Dated November 12, 1966 with #119393.
NBTHK certificate for Koshirae mountings: Status is Tokubetsu Kicho (特別貴重, i.e. Specially precious). Dated November 12, 1966 with #477. As the young issue # shows, not many Koshirae mountings are certified by NBTHK. Attested items are as follows: Saya scabbard, Fuchi collar and Kashira cap, Menuki pegs, Tsuba guard.

The blade is finely polished and is in excellent condition with some minor flaws and scratches, which are notfatal. Koshirae mountings are in very good conditionwith normalwears seen in items of this age. Sold as-is.
