History behind sneaker:
With a unique woven upper and aerodynamic design, the XV is inspired by two high-flyers: Michael Jordan and the ultra-fast X-15 fighter jet. The XV is inscribed with “23/6/15” down the heel in recognition of MJ’s jersey number/ championships won/model number of AIR JORDAN. Despite Michael’s absence from the game, this design proved to be as popular as ever.Perphaps one of the more popular colorways of the Air Jordan XV’s, you can’t go wrong with a full black sneaker. Unfortunately, that’s not what the general public thought at the time of their release. Perhaps the X-15 fighter jet design was before its time. These shoes were actaully nicknamed the “Stealths” because of their jet-inspired design, and the shoe’s slick, dark look. The uppers are a nice black mesh weave, while the midsole plate is a dark grey. The shoe is brightened up by a red, vertical heel strip.
