ELENA is one of the rarest DOLFI hand carved wooden doll. Standing at 15 7/8\", this vintage doll is the second tallest of the free standing limited edition dolls crafted by the artisans at Dolfi. She is number 29 of less than 500 completed 100% hand carved dolls.

Made is South Tyrol, Italy from European wood, ELENA -a VINTAGE FREE STANDING DOLL that is no longer available from DOLFI in this size-was hand carved completely from European wood, hand finished an hand painted by the foremost artisans of the 20th century.

Completed in 1989, she was carved with the finest tools and given the utmost attention to detail from the crown of her flowing and curled hair to the soles of her shoes. Her dress was carved to show the simulation of tucks, gathers, a collar and ruffles. A separate artisan was used to smooth and polish the raw carving. Another completed the hand painted detail of her flowing hair, rose crown and face bringing them to life with the precise placement of highlights. Still, another artisan completed the fabric details of her dark peach floral and dress, her coordinated point esprit ruffles, the bow ribbon, stripped tights and finally, her detailed buttoned shoes -giving life to the carving.

With her unique height of 15 7/8\", ELENA will enhance any collection with her unique style and appearance.
