This Santa pottery cookie jar is brand new with the box and packaging. When I was taking the picture, I noticed there were 2 small flake areas on the underside of the pottery lid where it was not smooth. This cookie jar was a gift and was never removed from the package except to take pictures. When the lid is on, you can not see the flaked area. Other than that, this piece of pottery is in great condition. I am downsizing, and Santa needs a new home where he can be enjoyed. We are a smoke free home.
