The Muscle Shoe:A collection of boots and shoes designed to meet the demands of today\'s active workers and their demanding workplace. Full grain waterproof leather. Slip-resistant soles. TC Tech plate for torsion control. Moisture wicking lining with an anti-microbial agent. Over 30% lighter than a traditional Red Wing work boot.The muscle series uses a 3-layer waterproofing system. The first layer is a moisture wicking fabric that moves moisture away from the foot. The second layer is the Hydro-ProTM lining that surrounds the foot with a barrier that keeps water out which is bonded to the third layer fabric backer which keeps the membrane in place. All three layers are encased in waterproof or water-resistant leathers. These layers create a total waterproofing system.
Steel Toe:Made from the most durable materials. Red Wing uses steel toes to protect your feet in the event of an accident. Meets ANSI highest requirement for impact - I/75 and compression - C/75. I/75 withstands an impact of 50 lbs. from 18 inches and leaves 1/2\" clearance. C/75 withstands 2500 lbs. of compression while leaving 1/2\" clearance.
Electrical Hazard protection:EH sole and heel protects like the rubber handle on a screwdriver. The sole construction is designed to reduce hazards due to contact of the sole with electrically energized parts. It provides a secondary electrical hazard protection on substantially insulated surfaces. Properties - withstand 14,000 volts (rms) at 60 Hz for one minute with no leakage in excess of 3.0 milliamperes.
