NICE FRENCH HUNTING KNIFE DAGGER 19TH CENTURY:
$275.00

Dating from the mid to late 19th Century, this is a good example of a well made French Hunting Bowie Knife. It is mounted with a fullered clipped point blade that measures 7 3/4 inches in length by 1 inch at the widest. The blade, although has some light staining and surface pitting scars, does remain in healthy condition. It wears a large crossguard that is simple but tastefully designed and fits snuggly against the thumb and forefinger. The stag horn hilt remains very healthy in its condition as well and has a very nice strong fit to the grip. The leather scabbard is nicely steel fitted and remains very healthy as well with all the stitching still tightly intact. Interestingly there is a homemade leather frog attached. Overall measuring 13 1/2 inches in length. (please note other items shown as props are not included in this sale) TO SEE ADDITIONAL PHOTOS PLEASE SCROLL DOWN.
