NICE FRENCH TRENCH KNIFE MODEL 1916:

This is an example of one of the many makers of the French Trench Knife, Model 1916 also known as \"Le Vengeur de 1870\" and this particular one was manufactured by the maker \"Astier-Prodon à Thiers\". It is mounted with a blade that measures 6 3/4 inches in length. The blade is in uncleaned condition with some minor light surface staining and scratches, nevertheless remains in good condition with the maker\'s marking still present on the ricasso. The wooden hilt is simple in design, remains very healthy in its condition and is tightly fitted with a steel crossguard. The nice metal scabbard wears a belt loop and shows to have been cleaned in recent years but does remain in good serviceable condition and has no dings. Overall measuring 12 inches in length.
