Up for sale is a rare, antique silver plate over brassclarinet(it may be silver-nickel). Metal clarinets were manufactured in the early1900\'s and a limited number of them were made. They are now played by many jazz musicians because of their unique tone.The clarinet has \"LEON AUBERT\" etched on the bell. The information from the Clarinet Board on the internet said it is a French stenciled clarinet. Many of the European metal clarinets are well made, heavier, betterquality instruments than other student model metal clarinets.
It\'s in good/nice cosmetic condition. The silver plate finish shines. It has some light surface wear on a couple of keys and a few very shallow small dings that are barely visible on the bell.
I play enough to test a clarinet and it plays one note.All of the keys move. The padshave wear.
It doesn\'t require a separate barrel/neck for connecting the mouthpiece to the clarinet. The top of the clarinet is designed to hold the mouthpiece. It includes an unmarked mouthpiece with a ligature and cover. The cork on the mouthpiece is good. It comes with a new reed.
It includes a nice hard case. The brown exterior and plush red interior fabric are good. They have some normal wear. The latches work and the handle is good. It includes a key for locking the case.
Don\'t let this unique rare, nostalgic gemget away. It\'s in very nice/good cosmetic condition and it after making some adjustments or adding new pads it\'ll play beautiful music once again! It\'s a perfect gift for a student, musician, or collector.
