Vintage HRD B6 Thermostat -1940s ?
One NOS (New Old Stock) vintage brass automotive thermostat as marked HRD B6 and 181T on either side of the housing. No box, to manufacturer\'s symbols, and no other part numbers.
You are offerding on ONE unit, but in the event you could use multiples, I have several. As acquired in a large surplus lot of 1940s heavy Chevroltet and GMC military trucks as manufactured for the US war effort, these are not the proper type for the 1.5 ton or 2.5 ton military trucks were are working on. Oddly, all of these came to us in a non-descript 1940s era box with Victory packaging symbols, but whether or not they\'re wartime or not is anyone\'s guess.
Housing diameter for a 2.5 inch block or water outlet fitting. The 181T may be an indicator of temperature setting or ranging. Made of brass. Truck? Automobile? I don\'t know application but suspect it\'s truck.
All NOS and shiny and mint despite warehouse stored for perhaps the last 70 years.
