oldcaraccessories

Probably the largest collection of 30s-70s classic car accessories in the world (10,000 of em!). I am not allowed to link to my site but my ID gives you a BIG clue.

PLEASE SEE MY OTHER ITEMS - I HAVE OVER 100 ITEMS LISTED
IN BOTH sale AND BUY-IT-NOW FORMATS.

Insured and tracked airmail shipping from ENGLAND or FRANCE (I move regularly between the two but the service is the same from each) to anywhere in the world for $29.00. I mail all my items promptly and transit time is usually 1-2 weeks, but it can take a bit longer if your customs hit it...

I was going to fit this to my 1937 Terraplane, but I would have to drill the car to do it, and as it has the original paint I don\'t want to do that. So my loss is your gain. It is an amazing item - a Haskell-Benson \'Wind Wall\' - a 30s, 40s or 50s wind deflector that bolts to the top of the firewall behind the hood of a car from around 1935 to around the mid to late 50s, and sticks up behind the hood to deflect air and bugs away from the windshield. These are pictures of one I sold recently, but this one is if anything in even better condition, and has no little spots of tarnishing.

I have mocked it up on my Terraplane to show you how it goes on the car (other accessories and Terraplane not included in this sale). In the pictures it is sitting in the left side of the hood gap as it would, but I am holding it on the right side, partly to avoid chipping the paint on my hood or bulkhead and partly to avoid distorting the item. But it would fit the car beautifully if I wanted it to, and it would sit in the hood shut line - it just wouldn\'t stay there without being bolted in, and I needed a hand to take the pic so I had to let go of it! The car on the box art (I also have a boxed one that is not for sale) looks to be an early 50s one, so I guess it was made around then.

It is supposed to be a \'universal\' item, but I obviously have no way of knowing if it would fit your specific car - you might have to be a bit creative and modify either the accessory or the car to make it fit. I have filled in the compatibility charts with cars I think it should fit, but if you don\'t think it will fit yours please don\'t buy it, and do please ask me if in doubt.
