Possibly originally an ADVERTISING NOVELTY or SALESMAN SAMPLE piece that a telephone company would have given to it\'s customers, thisHARDTO FIND dollaccessory is 2 of 2 miniature toy musical telephones we acquired, the other in PINK, which we pictured here and willbe offering under a separate listing, so please check our salesfrequently!
Thetiny telephonemeasures a DIMINUTIVE 2 1/2\" wide, 2 1/4\"tall to the top of the receiver end which is 4\" long, renderingit the PERFECT scale for display with your VINTAGE DOLLS! The telephone has wonderful REALISTIC DETAIL,including it\'s original FAUX DIAL (stationary) center, a fabulous HAND RECEIVER with tiny holes on both the talking and hearing ends, and our favorite feature, a long COILED CORD made of soft plastic, just like the REAL DEAL----it looks like they took a life size vintage phone and shrunk it! In addition, the phone serves as a MUSIC BOX, with the key wind secured underneath on a GILDED WOODEN base. When you wind the key and lift the receiver, the phone plays \"ANNIVERSARY SONG\" with a SWISS MOVEMENT; the sound has become slightly \"tinny\" over time but we think it just adds to it\'s overall charm! The base retains it\'s original PAPER LABEL which guarantees the product and also shows the name of the manufacturer, \"MARCO MUSIC CRAFTS COMPANY\", and also has some wonderful ORIGINAL PROVENANCE, with the song label as well and a hand scripted date of \"SEPTEMBER 1959\"! The toy is totally ALL ORIGINAL, and for the most part in EXCELLENT CONDITION with minor age wear including some old glue residue around the creases. Please note that this is just a TOY and does not functionlike the real thing (so don\'t try and call your Mother on this little miniature!), but you will love the overall CHARMING PRESENTATION!
