Offered for your consideration is aNUYDEA Gnome with Keys PAT. PENDINGCast Iron Doorstop, Vintage Circa 1931.

My research on this doorstop leads me to the following information;

The doorstop according to my research was made by NUYDEA and has a Patent Date of February 3, 1931, though this date is not on the doorstop itself. The doorstop has the words PAT. PENDING on the back of the Gnome\'s hat. The designer/inventor of this doorstop was Charles Tuteur who was the same designer/inventor of the London Royal Mail Coach doorstop. This doorstop was listed in Chicago\'s 1931 Shure Catalog and sold at the time for .85¢.

With all this being said the doorstop retainswhat appears to be most of the originalpaint, as I believe this doorstopwas not repainted, this is only my opinion, so please study and enlarge the many photos to judge condition. Other than the minor paint loss due to age and use I can see no flaws to note on the doorstop.

The doorstop is HEAVY weighing a little over 6 pounds. The height of the doorstop is approximately 10 inches tall by 5 inches across the widest at the base.

The doorstop is cast in two pieces and fastened with a flat head screw in the back just below the shoulders. My research indicated that this doorstop is unique in the fact that the two pieces of the cast of the doorstop do not go the full length, but the back half stops just below the gnome\'s rear end.

Again PLEASE STUDY and ENLARGE all photos as they play part of the visualdescriptionin case I missed something.

Shiny white areas on the doorstop is from light reflection and not flaws.

The doorstop will be carefully wrapped in new packaging material, bubble wrap, packaging peanuts and placed in anappropriatesize sturdy box forsafety in transit.
