These stockings come from a local estate. The family apparently traveled to Philadelphia fairly often and shopped at Wanamaker\'s Department Store. Most of their trips were taken between 1890 and 1910.
The stockings are cotton with a seam up the back. They are made in Germany. The only issue I see is a small hole at the seam near the top of one of the stockings.
There was printing on the stocking though most of it was worn off so I don\'t know the size. They measure about 29 inches long, the top measurement is 6 inches across laid flat and the foot is 9 inches long. These stockings don\'t have a lot of stretch.
