You are offerding on a very rare piece of baseball memorabilia. After exhaustive research, I have learned that this was a plate that was given to the 1953 team and staff. The plates that were given, were silver plate. This appears to be copper. I have only seen two others on the market in the last several years. It was given to me by a family member that knew the owner of the company that produced these plates. I believe that this might be the test model or the original master copy.

This decorative plate designed to resemble a large baseball, commemorates that famous dynasty and features in engraved Yankees logo imposed upon a large Roman numeral V is in the center. World champions is below the logo with each of the individual championship years 1949, 1950,1951,1952 and 1953 included along the center design. This championship plate has 37 engraved Team signatures and is displayed throughout the surface. They include Mickey Mantle, Phil Rizzuto, Whitey Ford, Casey Stengel. So many legends and Hall of Famers.
