Executed in the charcoal burnished Togidashi maki-e technique the Emperor Collection represents the pen maker’ art at its finest. Exquisite interpretations of traditional Japanese designs, the Autumn Flower is hand painted in gold, lacquer and vibrant color pigments by the world’s finest craftsmen.This gorgeous fine writing instrument features several maki-e techniques, some of the more notable are Togidashi and raden maki-e. With the use of warm pigmentsthe artist creates an exquisite depth and autumn feel. Aninsect whose wings feature beautifulabalone shells brilliantly stands out among the warm autumn foliage.Each pen is signed by Namiki\'s maki-e artist.
