This is an outstanding Original Serigraph, Signed & Numbered by American Artist Nancy Denison (b.1944). She entitled it, \"Mountain Suite: Curve\".
The rich, joyful, subdued yet vibrant colors of the serigraph capture well a serene mountain scene. The dominant orchid-maroon and silver curve in the mountainscape foreground draws us to it and then takes us up onto the higher silver-gray and white altitudes of the mountains themselves. The beige wash of the sky then completes the beautiful and intriguing scene.
Ms. Denison graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. degree and then immersed herself in her intensive art education at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C. and at the University of Colorado studying printmaking and painting. She is very much an accomplished artist who has exhibited in art galleries, colleges and universities, and museums across the country. Today, in addition to her fine art, she is also an avid horse owner and a successful realtor specializing in horse properties.
\"Dramatic space, void of clutter, is characteristic of Ms. Denison\'s serigraphs. Colorado\'s vast mountains and infinite sky have been a strong influence on her work; subtle shades of pigment blend into sensuous and abstracted, yet natural forms.\" (\"Denison\", Artist Brochure, c.1980). The artist has said, \"My art plays between abstract and figurative, with much of the subject matter drawn from nature.\" (ioffer.).
\"Making art has always been an important aspect of my life... Landscapes presented in the vivid, half imagined, half real scenes, have been part of my repertoire since I started to paint. These depict, in my way, the gorgeous New Mexico and Colorado landscape.\"

This Original Serigraph is number 35 from the artist\'s limited edition of 225 serigraphs plus Proofs. Its image and paper sizes are the same, 30\" high by 22¼\" across, since the image is bled to edges of the paper. It is signed \"Denison 77\" in the bottom right-hand corner of the image, with the title written at the bottom center and the edition number on the left.
The piece is in new condition, having been stored in a Mylar sleeve and never framed. \"Mountain Suite: Curve\" is shipped with a Certificate of Authenticity from the fine art gallery from which it was originally purchased and with our Five-Year Full-Exchange Privilege Certificate.
