An absolutely magnificent find from an exclusive L.A. estate sale. The former owner of this treasure owned a large travel agency and traveled very widely. His son said that his Dad had found this rare bust of Napoleon at a restaurant in the French Quarter of New Orleans some years ago. As the story goes, the owner of the restaurant did not want to sell this important focal point of the restaurant\'s decor but apparently the prospective buyer eventually made him an offer that he could not refuse. The statue appears to be plaster and stands about 13.5 inches tall. The base measures approximately 13.5 x 7 inches. Please note a number of condition issues, including paint that is peeling, nicks and chips and other signs of age and wear as shown in the photos. Nevertheless, the patina and energy of this rare piece are amazing, and the condition issues tend to enhance the character and spirit of this old French relic from the heart of New Orleans.
