I understand that this little straw ware box was made by a prisoner of war during Napoleonic war. This one is beautiful - it is shaped for the pocket, hip shaped ( one side convex/ other concave) and is a work of art in purple and red with touches of green. Inside is delightful as it is shaped like a stage. There is minor straw loss at the left hand bottom of the inside side stage - mentioned for accuracy. The rest is in super condition for age.
