This Napoleonic War Era Tunic we are offering is one of the best we have seen! It would have been worn in many movies depicting the Napoleonic War eras such as \'DESIREE\' \'WATERLOO\' \'NAPOLEON\' and many others... It is done in a beautiful dark blue wool with a red wool collar and cuffs. They are edged in gold bullion trim. The front \'vest\' is done in an ivory wool blend with 12 gold buttons. Each sleeve has an ivory placket on the cuffs with 3 small gold buttons - I am showing a picture of it. The coat fastens with hooks and eyes, however a few are missing and need to be replaced. The body and sleeves of the coat are lined in a soft brushed cotton; the tails are lined in deep red wool and are tacked open at the back with a gold button where they meet. The quality and the CONDITION, though very old, is EXCELLENT! The tunic has a label from Western Costume Company and a stamp. This Tail Coat is perfect for Re-Enactors! This fabulous tailcoat is a size 38, however it is a SMALL 38. All of us at Hollywood Movie Costumes feel very fortunate in being able to bring to sale this fine piece of Hollywood History.
