I recently traveled to Stewart, British Columbia from Vancouver and stopped at many significant First Nations villages along the way...since my background is in Northwest Coast Native Art. Among our stops were Hazelton, Gingolx, Gitwinksihlkw, Kitwanga, and Gitanyow. While in Hazelton I went to \'Ksan, the old Gitksan village and recently defunct Northwest Native Art School. While there I met Randy Adams, a Nisga\'a wood carver and jeweller whose daughter works at \'Ksan. He had three pendants for sale at the \'Ksan giftshop, and this is one of them.
Hand-engraved in sterling silver with a 14k solid gold nugget placed in the eye, this teardrop pendant depicts a classic West Coast Eagle design. It measures 1 3/8\" x 1\" and is signed on the back. It has never been worn and will come with an artist biography.
