Terracotta Army from the tomb ofChinese Emperor Qin. New and rare, in a beautiful
special collector’s box with two
Two large scale-models of bronze
chariots (carriages) and horses came unearthed in 1980 by the mausoleum ofthe first Chinese Emperor Qin Shi-Huang in Xi’an. These are half size
scale-models of real chariots and horses, faithfully copied down to the last
detail, complete with horses and people. The carriages have over 3000 parts
each and are driven by four horses each. The second one, reproduced in this
art, is 3.17 m long and 1.06 m high; the bronze horses vary from 65 cm to 67 cm
high and 120 cm long, and totally weights 1,234 kg. They were mainly made of
bronze. There are 1720 pieces of golden and silver ornaments weighting 7 kg on
the carriage. The carriages were so well-made and so vivid that they boast the
best preserved, the highest ranked, the earliest known and the biggest bronze
relic ever found in the world.
The art-piece can be stood-up on a table (desk)
or hung to a wall (see the photo of its back-side).
It is 13” wide and just under 10” high.
