New Handmade CECIL BLASINGAME Double Mounted Chihuahua Cowboy SPURS:

This is a pair of new double mounted Chihuahua spurs made by Cecil Blasingame of Canyon, Texas. They are marked 212 Blasingame on the outside of both heel bands. Cecil Blasingame has spent his entire life as a working cowboy and became interested in spur making over thirty years ago. Today Cecil makes bits, spurs, and cowboy hardware strictly in the Texas style tradition. He prides himself in making pieces that are solid with clean craftsmanship, classic cowboy patterns, and wheat cut engraving on the overlays. Cecil is among the select group of spur makers to provide spurs for the Texas Style Bit and Spur Makers Association Woman\'s Protective Services sale along withother top makers.These spurs are steel with a dark iron finish and are mounted with eighteen pieces of nickel silver and two pieces of copper. The outside bands are mounted with a mountain scene and the inside bands are mounted with flowers and leaves. These would make a nice pair of spurs to use or to add to a collection.
