Katherine’s Collection Beautiful Cat Faced Doll, “Susan” Like New condition Early 2002. “Susan” is a Beautiful cat faced Edwardian style doll. Style is “Susan” and she was purchased in early 2000-2002 by consignor. She has been stored since purchase with other dolls from consignor’s collection and is in mint pre-owned condition. According to consignor this is a Wayne Kleski doll and is retired. She wears a deep burgundy, almost purple velvety top which continues to cover her “body” under her skirt and a cream silk skirt with lace overlay and handmade rosettes in a riot of gold, and pinks each trimmed with pale blue ribbon. Lace edges her sleeves and collar and a pale purple accent ribbon is at the collar. Her “hands” and ”feet” are a pale gold silky fabric. Wasitband of the dress is pale sea green with a deep green accent ribbon and three rosettes on the waist. The spring green ribbon that falls from the waist is also trimmed with hand made floral rosettes. Susan measures 14.5 inches from the very top of her head to her tiptoes if laid on a table and measured flat. Beautiful workmanship in this lovely doll.
