A large musical snow (glitter) globe of New York City manufactured by The San Francisco Music Box Company during the mid-1990s.
The glitter-filled interior has several skyline landmarks including the Empire State Building, the Woolworth Building, the Flatiron, and in the center the World Trade Center Towers. When the key is turned on underneath the base it plays a music box version of \"New York, New York\". The base itself is a mural of sorts, made of molded and painted composite material depicting landmarks of the city. On the bottom is the oval mark and logo for The San Francisco Music Box Company along with a UPC sticker with bar code and the textMADE IN CHINA.
Works well, plays nicely, no issues. No chips, cracks or wear to the base or glass. No bubble inside the globe either, and the glitter catches light nicely when shaken. Please see all photos for a better idea ofcondition.
Asomewhat rare pre-2001 snow globe view of New York Cityfeaturing the Twin Towers. Apparently identical to one that appeared in a scene referencing 9/11 in an episode of Sex and the City.
