NICE FRENCH REGULATION SERGEANT SPONTOON POLEARM SPEARHEAD PIKE:

This is a nice example of a French Regulation Sergeant Spontoon, Polearm, Spearhead, Pike, Lance Head which dates from the early to mid 18th Century. It wears a spearpoint blade with a fancy multi spike flanged guard that measures 10 inches in length by 4 1/2 inches at the widest and with a socket that measures 3 1/2 inches in length. The metal shows to have received a cleaning in recent years, nevertheless overall remains in good condition. Measuring 17 5/8 inches in overall length.
