Nippon Hand Painted Dark & Light Pink Rose Tea Cup & Saucer Circa 1891 - 1921Very pretty porcelain tea cup and saucer. Very nicely decorated with large hand painted dark and light pink roses and gold gilt and yellow floral designs. With gold highlights to the handle. Unmarked. The handle has a molded bamboo like design which I have seen on marked pieces. The Nippon era of Japanese porcelain was between 1891 and 1921. Has one very small chip to the front edge of the saucer and some wear to the paint on two of the roses on the saucer. Also has some wear to the gilded. Still a very pretty tea cup and saucer. The cup measures 4 3/4\" wide including the handle x 2\" tall.
The saucer measures 5 5/8\" wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display-ability of the piece.Please see my other listings for more Nippon and other Japanese porcelain.
