Interesting early cast iron steak broiler with identical sides meeting at a simple riveted hinge. Each side is marked No. 1 Patent. I have been unable to find a matching patent, but it would be from about the Civil War period. It measures 9 by 19 1/2 inches. It has rust and crust. There are no chips or cracks or repairs. The handles are slightly misaligned when it is closed.
