This was bought at an estate sale. It is perfect and beautiful. Slight loss of gold near top on both pieces. I think it is a match holder, Mom said she thinks a cigarette holder. It is 5\" with out the top, about 6 1/2 with top . In the middle it is about 3\" deep. The elephant is almost 6\" long from trunk to tail. Its about 2\" wide. All the lustre, is there. The gold on trim elsewhere is ripped. This is a thing of beauty and will be a joy Forever!!!
