each is signed by the Artist Norman Seaweed

Meaning:The Eagle symbolizes courage, wisdom and strength and he is believed to be the messenger to the Creator. The eagle was believed to carry prayers to the Great Spiritin the Spirit World and also had a special connection with visions.

Norman Seaweed, a member of the Kwagiulth First Nation, wasborn in Alert Bay, a small town on British ColumbiasPacific Northwest Coast of Vancouver Island. His mother’s family is from the Village Islandand his father’s family is from Turnour Island. He comes from alarge family of well known artists, wood and silver carvers and learned hisskills in jewelery carving from Lloyd Wadhams, when he started in 1978. His three brothers are also very talented and the Name\"Seaweed\" is highly sought after when it comes to any kind ofjewelery, bracelets, earrings, rings, pendants and necklaces. Norman\'spieces can be found in the finest Galleries on the Northwest Coastas well as in private collections.
