LARGE, authentic and beautiful Northwest Coast First Nations Native Art carving

SWAN

beautifully painted in black and white - with added blue at the head - great craftsmanship

by the Nuu-Chah-Nulth First Nations Artist Norman John

Measurements: approx. 23\" tall, 11\" wide, 0.75\" thick

Condition: great condition, showing very minor signs of aging, the artist signed this piece by carving his initials in the back. It also shows handwritten \"Norman John\" but I don\'t think that\'s Normans signature but was rather added by the former owner of this piece.

Norman John is a member of theNuu-chah-nulth First Nation, originating from the Northwest Coast of VancouverIsland, British Columbia, Canada. Normanstarted carving at a very early age, learning from his father, well knownMaster carver Jimmy John.
