Up for sale is this lovely Northwood Carnival Glass Mug in the \"SingingBird\" pattern. Northwood produced this pattern between 1910 and 1915. The base glass is black amethyst which shines deep purple in incandescent light. The finish is highly iridescent with purples, blues, gold and pink on the outside and electric blue hues on the inside and outside. My photos don\'t do it justice.The mug measures 3 1/2” high and 4” in diameterincluding the handle. The Northwoodhallmark (\"N\" inside a circle) is stamped on the inside bottom of the mug. It\'s in great condition with no chips or nics. The iridescent finish has loss on the bottom of the mug which looks like it\'s due to age (I think you can see it in the photo). I\'m not an expert on Carnival Glass so to me the piece looks great, heavily coated with rich colors that shimmer and are absolutely beautiful. This mug will make a great addition to your collection.Thanks for looking.
