Up for sale i have a stunning Rosemaled porridge container called an Amber in Norwegian. This originates from Telemark in Norway and has very good quality rosemaling typical of this area, were some of the best floral decorators came from. I was made with pieces of would in the same tecnique as making a barrel with the bands holding it together are made of wood, outside there are bands of bentwood that are decorated. It is dated 1855 with the initials of owner on oter ear, this was most likely a proposal gift and it is in great original condition and so colorful, this would shine in any collection of Norwegian, Swedish or Danish folk art items. Measures 13.5\" tall and 11\" wide.
