featuring The Fantastic Four vs The Hulk

from Lug Publishing,1983

This cover is roughly 9 x 14 1/2 inches. There are no pinholes,creases,whiteout or tape on this piece. It also comes with an overlay with original coloring in marker showing how the cover was to be colored. This also comes with the cover of the actual Lug edition.

The art is done by Jean Frisano. Jean created hundreds of pieces of cover art for Lug in the 1970\'s and 1980\'s. The Lug comics were reprints of the American Marvel Comics,usually 2-3 stories per issue. Jean would interpret the covers sometimes close to the American versions and sometimes not.

I was turned onto Jean from an article in Comic Book Marketplace back in the 1990\'s and knew I had to track down this guy and try to get some of his original art. I was able to get in contact with his son Thomas a few years later and learned Jean had unfortunately passed in 1987. I was able to build a small collection of originals from Thomas and another dealer on the internet,but quickly learned,for as much work as Jean did,nothing was available on the open market. And here it is almost 15 years later and I still rarely see anything for sale. I am downsizing my collection and have decided to list a few pieces. I am listing a few paintings and a few pen & ink original art covers from the popular Titans and Nova comics released by Lug.
