This exquisite pewter sculpture of Betsy Ross & George Washington was envisioned by artist Mico Kaufman and was sold by The Franklin Mint in 1977 for $200.00. It was a limited edition of 1,500 sold only in the U.S.June 14, 1977 marked the exact 200th Anniversary of the adoption of the first official Flag of the U.S., and in honor of this anniversary, this sculpture was commissioned by the American Flag House and the Betsy Ross Memorial. Every year, thousands of people from all over the world visit the Betsy Ross House on Arch Street in Philadelphia, Pa. The sculpture portrays Betsy Ross displaying the newly completed American Flag to General George Washington, as a neighborhood child, the artist\'s symbol of the American future, looks on. This is the Flag that was to become America\'s first official Flag. Every detail is fully authentic and true to the times. The sculpture is crafted in fine pewter, and finished by hand to bring out all the nuances of the work. Sculpture measures 6 3/8\" X 4 3/8\" X 5 1/2\" high. It is in excellent condition.
