This is a wonderful old wooden handled carrier in original blue paint that I found at a Vermont farmhouse sale. These were often used as tool carriers but would be wonderful in the house to hold herbs in the kitchen, towel and washcloths in the bathroom......so many decorative uses. This carrier measures 19\" long x 13\" wide x 7\" tall to the top of the handle. It is divided in two so that items can be placed on both sides of the handle which has a very nice sized handhold opening. It is round nailed construction, has 2 runners on the bottom to elevate it just slightly from the table. There are two or three small holes drilled down into the carrier side from the top, also some nails on the top of the handle....not sure of the purpose for either of these but then.......ingenuity of a Vermont farmer is not to be questioned.
