A massive cow horn flask intricately carved with images of a cougar, horse, bull and lion with the crest of Paraguay \"REPUBLICA PARAGUAY\" and the national motto \"PAZ Y JUSTICA\" (peace and justice ).
The flask stopper is another horn - presumably for drinking.
I initially thought this was a water flask - but its not watertight, and I have since seen a similar piece on .com described as a guacho\'s powder flask (and priced at $240).
Measures 56 cm including stopper x 8.5 cm at the widest point.
