I don\'t know the brand and exactly what to call it ie crosscut or whatever, but here is what I do know. This belonged to my Great Grandfather who was a Blacksmith, Lumberjack and Farmer in the Piney Woods of East Texas. He passed away in 1950 and it was handed down to my Grandfather, then my Father who passed a few years ago and now to me. My son is not interested in this sort of thing and is not sentimental or nostalgic and I am in poor health and don\'t want it to go into some estate sale or something. I don\'t know when my Great Grandfather acquired the saw but he was actively using this sort of equipment quite a ways back into the late 1800s. I hate to sell it but I have no good place to put it and would rather someone have it who collects and will take good care of it. The blade is about 48 inches. The handle is very worn and cracked but intact enough you could use it just like it is, the blade has surface rust but no cancer eating it away as far as I can tell. And as far as I can tell all the teeth are there and in good condition but I\'m not an expert in this sort of thing.
