Charming little Celluoid figural owl tape measure. Circa 1900-1920

A charming miniature Edwardian figural owl tape measure circa 1900-1920.
The owl measures approximately 2¼\" (60 mm) tall not including the knop to
the winding spool and it has been beautifully made with the original tape intact.There is a little bit of damage to the right foot which looks to have been broken
and reglued in the past and has left a small hole at the front base as you can see in
the photos and the red silk tape measure has also broken with the first 18\" missing. Despite this damage the owl is still able to stand easily and the tape spool winds well
and it really is one of the most charming figural tape measures I have seen. I don\'t
think the damage detracts too badly from the overall appearance and it displays
beautifully and would make a wonderful addition to any collection.Please view the photos to assess the condition for yourselves
