VERY RARE George F. King LONG FERRULE pencil. This dates from the 1890\'s and is one of the early eraser tipped pencils from Boston MASS. This is one of the the longest ferrule pencils I have ever seen produced. The metal ferrule measures 1.25 inches long.

George F King produced pencils and pens in Boston starting in the 1870\'s. It was purchased by Ward & Company in 1909 and at that time the businsess was celebrated as one of the oldest stationery stores in Boston, being in buisness for 40 years upon the death of Mr. King. Google search and you can find information on this pencil company dating back to the 1870\'s.
