This One-of-a-Kind Resin Casting was used to make molds for the shopping baskets at The World of Disney,
the world\'s largest Disney character store... located in Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World, FloridaThis item was acquired from a longtime cast member. The diameter is about 3.75\" & it\'s ~.25\" thick.
In the creation process, the logo first would\'ve been sculpted in clay or foam, a mold would\'ve been created.
Then from that original mold they would cast a more sturdy copy from which they could make additional molds.
To the best of my knowledge this is either the casting from the original mold from which more molds were made
or it is a test casting from the final mold which would\'ve been used to create the actual shopping baskets.In great shape with no notable wear beyond that left by the initial use.
There are still some remnants of the red molding material present on the piece.
