CANADA??Three Miniature MedalsAND one Maltese Medal
Possibly a miniature medal group earned by a Canadian? Mounted together, 2 1960\'s UN service medals [for Congo & Cyprus] and a QE IICANADIAN FORCES\' DECORATION [along service, good conduct, or efficiency recognition medal]. This group lacks hardware for attaching it to clothing. Tied to it with a string & tag is a 1992 Maltese official medal commemorating the 50th anniversary of the George Cross award to the island. Tag has numbers 4451 crossed out and on reverse inscription \'4165 Jim Bishop\'. Maltese medal has an attachment to pin it to clothes.
This last medalcould be awarded for service from 10 June 1940 to 8 September 1943, during and after the Siege of Malta. Uniformed members of allied armed forces and merchant marine, civilians on Malta who served in specific capacities and members of the Scout Association of Malta who served qualified for this medal. These criteria would seem to exclude someone without other WW II awards & who performed miitary service in the 1960\'s, except for perhaps a Scout?ITEMS\' CONDITION--EXACTLY AS IMAGES DEPICT--WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE IF YOU WIN THIS sale.
