This is an ORIGINAL, 1950\'s or 1960\'s, STERLING MARKED, D.B. maker marked, U.S. AIR FORCE RING. This ring has the DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE CREST on the top, with EAGLES and the U.S. SHIELD on each side. This is a small sized ring, either for a small handed airman or more likely an item for a woman. Rings such as this were sold at PX STORES and private jewelry stores around military bases during the COLD WAR and during the Vietnam War as souvenirs to wear off duty or to send home to loved ones as keepsakes.
