Original Antique German WMF Jugendstil Art Nouveau Brooch Pin 1910-1918
This beautiful vintage brooch is in the best tradition of the German arts & crafts movement known as \"Jugendstil\".This is a so-called \"Stabbrosche\" - bar pin, which were very popular at the turn of the century in Germany. You will notice them in old photos.It measures 8.3cm by 0.7cm at the widest point. The back has a simple foldover c-clasp and is signed with the ostrich and the inscription \"WMF\" in a rhombus, placed in a beehive with a smooth round arch. The mark was used from 1910 until about 1918. It\'s also marked with an N for Nickel and an O for silver-plate deposit.This is a piece of the Art Nouveau or Arts and Crafts period in best continental style.
This brooch will make a romantic gift for this special person or it will make a wonderful addition to any vintage continental jewellery collection.
