***Please ask all questions prior to buying*** This sale is for an original lady\'s over-skirt from just after the Civil War period. It\'s made of crisp green silk brocaded taffeta with an ikat weave. The silk is earlier, about late 1850s. So is the trim, a gorgeous green and black scalloped fringe- yum! There is a lush bow that perches right on the \"tournure\"! The over-skirt is sturdy and can be used with different bodices to extend your collection. Use it over a black dress for an eye-catching early bustle effect! It looks great with a white cotton blouse and plain skirt. This is a great addition to any collection! Shown with a bodice and skirt which are not included. Condition: Scattered spots of discoloration and a couple of small holes, Structurally, it is very sound.
