Most of the Mobil oil gargoyle signs that you see have CERTIFIED SERVICE written along in the lettering - this one is a less common variant and only says \"Ask Here for GARGOYLE Mobiloil\" maybe an earlier version, don\'t know.
At any rate, its an early one, made of heavy double sided porcelain or enamel construction.
All original as found condition.
Decent condition for it\'s age, couple nice bullet holes for character - a really COOL PIECE and a great man cave item - check it out !!!.
This is a large sign, itmeasures about 23-1/2 inches in diameter and weighs almost 10 pounds by itself.
There are some normal scratches and dings, several old chips and overall wear, but considering the age of the piece it is in very good overall condition for a porcelain sign from this very desirable early era and has a great look with the two BULLET HOLES !!!
The GARGOYLE graphics are pretty nice and the colors are still really good.

I have been using the 2 bullet holes to easily hang it up on my car port wall.
