Description: This entry is for a commission work, meaning I will paint for you, from a photo of your choice, or a reproduction of any other paintings by historical artists.With regards to style, I paint mainly in two different styles, the first is a detailist one, where I will give high attention to details, i.e. individual leaves on a landscape, effects on wood, old walls, etc.The other style is a tonalist approach, where I focus on creating different subtle tones and atmosphere, and where smoothness, and light effects dominate the composition. Please have a look at my photos and you will see the difference between the two styles.The detailst style will take longer to finish and hence will naturally incur price increases.

About the artistI am a self taught oil painter. I graduated in Maths from the university, but in the middle I discovered other forms of art (Maths is also an art), which gave me more pleasure than maths so I decided to try and become a professional oil painter. I realized that painting is another word for feeling, and that it is what I looked for all along in life. The sheer pleasure of creating, and creating 3 dimensional worlds on a flat canvas is beyond words. Painting is able to create beautiful worlds and manipulate light. I only sell here on at the moment and not in any galleries.
My purpose is to bring back the old world of painting. In today\'s world, where companies make ever worse products in order to increase profit, painters also make ever nonsensical paintings and call it \"art\". No one will actually do what is needed to make great art anymore. Why? because it is difficult. It is very difficult to make good oil paintings. It\'s very difficult to apply paint in just the right way, it is difficult to mix the right colors and produce a beautiful atmosphere of light in a painting. Its much easier to apply paint randomly and call it modern art and make money from it. I am going the other way. I will make the efforts in my art, and improve every day. I will strive to paint places I would like the world to be like. I want a natural utopian world, and maybe that will inspire people to make it a reality, because we really need it now.
