This is an ORIGINAL German World War Two MG 34 / 42 Gunner\'s tool kit constructed from late war tan ersatz leather or Prestoff (pressed paper) material. Pouch or kit is worn on either side in the front of the enlisted man\'s leather utility belt suspended by Y-strap suspender. This pouch is in excellent condition. Original construction is solid and complete. All stitching is 100% and undamaged. There are no challenged areas, prestoff material and leather fixtures are all very nice and strong / supple. There is no damage. All of the original 8 rivets that hold in the wood backing plate and steel sleeve for the anti aircraft sight remain and everything is very sound, though they do have some rust (the kits with the steel rivets usually do have rust as the paper attracts moisture). Not the nicest one around, but better than most encountered. There is a nice clear waffen amp on the underside of the lid. All and all a very nice sound original kit with original wartime wear.
