Welcome to Antiques & Moore!This listing is for aniceantiqueArt Nouveau Period hat pin with oval amethyst cabochon stone, c. 1890-1910.Unusual gold plated mounting with large oval amethyst cabochon with beautiful coloration.Mounting measures approximately 1\" high and 3/4\"in diameter withthe stem measuring 8\"long.The amethyst measures 1/2\" x 3/8\". No marks found.The gold plating is in excellent Estate condition with no noted damage and thestem/base is ingood condition commensurate withage. Unfortunately, the amethyst cabochon stone has a damaged area on one side (see photos). There is some minor corrosion on the end of stem that we have not tried to remove.We at Antiques & Moore have been in the antiques business for over 30 years and try to describe our items as accurately as possible.
