smsnoveltiques store This is a magnificent sofa in very good condition. It is extra large, 70 inches across the back and 66 inches from arm to arm. It is beautifully carved with roses on each of the three crowns. I am not sure if it is French or Victorian and if it is walnut or rose wood. But, I do know I purchased it 25 years ago from an antique furniture dealer that is quite well known in this part of Pennsylvania. I was told it was made in the mid 1800\'s. It is clearly hand carved and quite wonderfully carved. I hate to part with it but, we are downsizing and some things I love I must part with. The piece is very sturdy and strong. The fabric is old and is starting to show wear.PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK QUESTIONS.This piece is for pick up only.
