This sale is for alarge size quality vintage hardback FIRST FOLIO SOCIETY EDITION entitled “TheYoung King and Other Stories,” by OscarWilde, with numerous illustrations in COLOUR from wood-engravings by JohnGaastra, including a frontispiece and title page illustration.

It was publishedby The Folio Society, of London. This is a scarce early Folio Society editionand is unusual in that it is undated (the Folio Society was founded in1947). It is certainly the FIRST FOLIO SOCIETY EDITION and is scarce - itwas not reprinted, and I believe this printing was in fact in 1953.

This is a completeedition of the Fairy Tales of Oscar Wilde.

This book measures10 inches by 6.5 inches and has 156 pages (including illustrations).

The book is invery good neat condition with wear to the hardback cover, is a little faded,and with foxing to the blank endpapers.The binding is good with no loose or missing pages. There are NO inscriptions/book-plates and NOother ink or pencil markings in the book.There is no slipcase.
